Hekluferdir offers you bus trips to the volcano Hekla and district. Departure according to the schedule below or by special requests by individuals or groups.
Horse riding trips: 6 days Hekla-Landmannalaugar, 8 days Landmannalaugar-Fjallabak. Included: horse and tack, helmet and rain gear, lodging (dormitory type in huts), transport of luggage, all meals, Icelandic mountain raised lamb, fresh fish, organically grown vegetables, milk products and bread, transfer from/to bus station and guiding.

We are in Landmannalaugar fom 1st july. Now you can try something exciting. Saty with the icelandic horse in to the mountains for a short while or a whole day, whatever you want. We offer a riding tour fromone hour in the neighbourhood of Landmannalaugar and also a riding tour for a whole day all the way in Jökulgil. There you can see the most beautiful and colorful mountains.

can offer dogsled tours and expeditions.
Leirubakki, south Iceland, is a paradise for nature lovers in summer and winter alike. In the vicinity are endless options for horse riding, snowmobiling, angling, hiking and all other kinds of outdoor leisure. The charm of a mountain hut - with modern conveniences.
The Hekla center has now opened. The exhibition and restaurant is open daily from 10-22. Leirubakki is very near the Hekla and the museum fits itself into the surroundings in a very special way, with special consideration of the environment. There will also be a eating-/conference room, a museumshop and a viewpoint with a magnificient view over Hekla.
Individual tourists and groups now have the change to go to the summit Hekla by snowcar in the depths of winter when the view from this magnificent volcano is at its most spectacular. Driving up the slopes and then standing on the hot pumice at the top of this 1.491 meter high peak is an indescribable experience. You can even dig down a few inches into the pumice and heat up your sandwiches and hot dogs whilst enjoying the view.
During the summer months we offer one - week stays including several day rides and sightseeing tour (for example to the "Golden Circle" Gullfoss, Geysir and Thingvellir). A special one-week family program is offered for families and less advanced riders.
Riding tours and horse rental. Shorter and longer riding tours are available for groups and individuals. Good riding tracks lead into different directions and a 850m2 indoor riding arena is located on the spot.
